reed build writes static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to an output directory and can run in your CI. The output can be served by S3, nginx, Cloudflare, GitHub Pages, or another static host, independently of Reed.

Features available on free tiers
Fern and Mintlify both offer free tiers. Fern includes /llms.txt on all tiers, and Mintlify includes an MCP server on its free tier; neither feature distinguishes Reed.
- Fern Hobby includes one site. Fern Team costs $150 per month and also includes one site.
- Mintlify Starter costs $0 and includes no AI credits. Mintlify Pro costs $450 per month billed annually or $540 per month billed monthly.

reed build writes static files. After reed prefetch, the compiler can run without network access, and the output can be deployed to a static host.
AI features
AI features run on your key
Reed uses your model-provider key. reed mcp generate and reed skill generate write source files to your repository for you to version and run.
